Children and youth are a Christ Church priority: welcome at every worship service and an important part of our life together in Christ. Sundays during the 10:00 a.m. service, children aged three through third grade are welcome to go to Children’s Chapel, leaving the church just prior to the Gospel reading and returning for the Peace. Worship for the children includes a Gospel reading, an interactive, age-appropriate sermon, the prayers of the people, and songs to sing.
Childcare is also available in our Parish House nursery rooms for infants through five-year-olds on Sundays from 7:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. We also have an Infant Caring Room with a closed-circuit television where you can attend to your child’s needs while watching the service.
During the program year, September through May, we offer Sunday school from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. for preschool, elementary school, and middle school aged children and youth. Youth groups meet regularly for fun and fellowship, and take special trips throughout the year like apple picking in the fall and a winter ski trip. During the summer, children, youth, and their families continue to worship, spend time together in fellowship, and engage in more casual formation and service opportunities.
